Congratulations to Survivex Firefighting Instructor Billy Stuart who claimed his first pro-title at Hilton Treetops in Aberdeen on Saturday!
Billy, 21, claimed the vacant BUI Celtic super-bantamweight title with a 77-75 points victory over Dylan McDonagh, while [his brother, also fighting] 19-year-old Callum defeated Casey Blair 40-36 on his debut.
Billy said: “It was good to get the win but I wasn’t impressed with my performance.
“I made it hard for myself towards the end of the fight.
“I could have won a lot easier than I did.
“My jab was working perfectly in the opening rounds but I had to tough it out in the end, but a win is a win."
