Survivex and AIS Training continue to be the wind industry's first choice

Figures released by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) – the wind industry’s training body – show that Survivex and AIS Training continue to be the training provider of choice for wind companies and delegates alike.

Almost one in four of the world’s wind delegates choose to train at Survivex’s Aberdeen facility and AIS Training’s Newcastle centre. That’s 5% up on the previous year. Major wind operators and wind companies are also choosing both companies due to the wide-ranging suite of GWO courses and 99% feedback score for instructors and facilities. As well as world-class training in the UK, Survivex and AIS Training offer a comprehensively vetted network of training provider partners so that clients can access the same exceptional standard of training around the globe.

GWO’s latest figures cover the period from January to June 2020 and as expected, reflect the impact of the global pandemic with training around the world dropping by 16%. The UK and Europe experienced significant dips in training throughout this period as providers, including Survivex and AIS Training, closed their doors in line with UK Government guidelines. However, the introduction of some of the industry’s most stringent safety measures allowed both Survivex and AIS Training to re-open from May. Since then wind industry training has seen a resurgence as major developments in Scotland and Dogger Bank in England continue to go ahead with their construction phases.

Survivex and AIS Training are part of the 3t Energy Group. 3t is investing heavily in the facilities at Survivex with both infrastructure and new course now available within the centre at Dyce, Aberdeenshire. Meanwhile, AIS Training in the North East of England has expanded into additional premises to open up extra capacity for clients looking to complete Advanced Rescue and Enhanced First Aid courses. These developments, plus a significant investment in software, technology and digital solutions, has seen the 3t Energy Group’s UK market share increase to 23%.
