Recent changes have been made to the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety syllabus.  Since April 2015, the revised syllabus has been in force and reflects recent changes following an extensive consultation with key stakeholders.

One amendment within the syllabus is the change away from the POPMAR process (Plan, Organising, Planning, Monitoring, Audit and Review) to the Plan, Do, Check Act approach.  This change is to maintain the currency of the course and to keep the delivery aligned with current health and safety best practice.

In addition, a number of Professional membership bodies recognise NEBOSH qualifications, such organisations include:

• The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
• The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM)
• The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM)

This make the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety certificate an invaluable qualification to achieve within a wide range of industries.
