Energy recruiters outline personnel requirements for 2022

Demand for skilled tradesmen looks high in 2022 with energy recruiters looking to fill a wide variety of roles at the AIS Survivex Energy Sector Careers Events.

Specialist electrical, mechanical and engineering skills are high on the agenda, as well as drilling, inspection and testing experience amongst others. There are also opportunities for those new to the industry.

We’ve been talking to some of the companies attending our events to hear about upcoming plans and where the opportunities lie this year.

Leading consulting and engineering giant, Wood is a TMS (training management service) client of AIS Survivex and will be at the Aberdeen event.

Shaun Smith, Resourcing Lead at Wood said: “We are delighted to take part in this year’s Energy Sector Careers Event at AIS Survivex. These events are great for talking with people face-to-face and providing advice and tips on how to secure offshore work. We have some exciting new and diverse projects coming up in the UK and Europe and are keen to attract new and fresh talent into the industry - particularly those looking to transition existing skills.”

Onshore and offshore technical services firm Stork is looking for a wide range of skills at both our Newcastle and Aberdeen events.

Vicky Moir, Recruitment & Resourcing Manager for @StorkTS said: "Stork has many upcoming opportunities across multiple industrial and energy sectors throughout 2022. We're particularly interested in speaking with people who have the right skills and experience in Inspection & NDT, Machining & Bolting, Engineering, Special Access Systems, Insulation and Coatings disciplines.  Our recruiters are looking forward to meeting everyone at the AIS Survivex event and will be on hand to answer attendee's questions."

We have a number of offshore wind specialists attending the events with specific requirements...

Correll is a global leader in high voltage electrical engineering and the installation of land and subsea cables and the company will be at our Newcastle event.

Deborah Cunningham, Marketing and Communications Manager at Correll Services, said: "This year is proving extremely busy for the Correll Group as the offshore market ramps up activity. We require hundreds of skilled technicians and would like to talk to anyone with particular skills in electrical and mechanical disciplines at the AIS-Survivex Energy Sector Careers' Event."

CPower Energy supplies skilled personnel to the global energy sector.

Peter Jorgensen, Managing Director, CPower Energy said: "We have lots of opportunities coming up this year for the offshore oil and gas market across all disciplines. We're also looking for electricians and instrument technicians for onshore and offshore construction projects in Denmark. Energy Sector Career Events at AIS-Survivex always attract lots of skilled and talented individuals and we are hoping to match some of these people with the dozens of jobs we have in the pipeline."

Several recruitment experts will also be on hand looking to fill roles for qualified personnel across various disciplines...

AGR will be at both our Newcastle and Aberdeen events. Allana Black Operations Manager at AGR said: "AGR is attending the AIS Survivex Energy Sector Careers Event to actively recruit for COSL Drilling Europe AS to fill multiple offshore positions within the North Sea.
