Some of the energy industry’s biggest employers are heading to AIS Survivex this February to identify potential talent for 2023 projects at the company’s popular annual Energy Career Events.
These events aim to match active recruiting companies with suitable candidates for upcoming projects and current vacancies and, with 20 companies signed up so far, this is set to be to be AIS Survivex’s biggest event yet.
Companies attending this year include Bilfinger, Wood, Stork, AGR, Atlas Professionals, Team, Tulloch Recruitment, GEV Wind, Global Highland, Global E&C, Coast Renewables, ESS (Compass Group), DWP, Muehlhan Wind, EDS HV Group, FairWind, Hydrasun, Boston Energy and Aberdeen Foyer with many more names expressing interest.
A wide range of vacancies are expected to be on offer at the events - from greenhand positions for those brand-new to the offshore industry to experienced offshore construction jobs such as rigging, pipefitting and mechanical and electrical roles.
Mark McDonald, Senior HSEQ Advisor at Atlas Professionals said:
“AIS Survivex’s Careers Events are always packed out so we are delighted to attend this year’s event in Aberdeen. We’ve got lots of upcoming projects and are hoping to attract new talent - both experienced and inexperienced. As well as our ongoing recruitment contracts, we have at least four rigs coming into work in the North Sea and will be looking for crews to support these. The main roles on offer include work for Roustabouts, Greenhands, Floorhands and technical jobs such as Mechanic and Electrician but there are lots of other positions too.”
The free events will be held at AIS Survivex on Wednesday, 15th February in Aberdeen and on Thursday, 16th February in Newcastle between 11am – 4pm and are open to anyone.
As well as offering the opportunity to meet potential employers and recruiters face-to-face, the events provide invaluable industry insight on upcoming projects and opportunities in 2023.
Linzi Ryan, Head of Marketing at AIS Survivex, said:
“The global energy sector is extremely busy right now and that looks set to continue right through 2023.
"Lots of our key clients are hiring and are keen to speak to the pool of trained and competent AIS Survivex delegates who come along to these events. This is the most companies we’ve ever had involved so I would strongly urge anyone looking for more information about the opportunities available in oil and gas or wind to sign up.”
