Energy Sector Recruiters Head to North East for Talent Search

Recruiters from the oil and gas industry are hot-footing it to the Aberdeen training centre to identify future potential from Survivex talent pool.

Power-house names including global energy and marine industry recruitment specialists Atlas Professionals, Advance Global Recruitment, Energy Professionals Group, Fircroft, and Energy Professionals Group are already confirmed to attend a special recruitment event at leading energy trainer, Survivex, to look for potential employees for current vacancies and upcoming projects.

Additionally representatives from Wood will be on hand to offer their expert advice and chat about ongoing projects, as well as The Welding Institute (TWI) Ltd discussing welding and NDT training and roles within the sector.

The drop-in style event will take place between 11am and 7pm on Tuesday 28th January at the state-of-the-art Survivex training facility situated beside Aberdeen International Airport. As well as showcasing the types of careers available in the global energy sector, the event will offer CV and interview tips and includes leading industry bodies and recruitment firms talking about future job opportunities.

Companies have a wide range of vacancies on their books from highly experienced to green-hand positions in areas such as roustabout, drill crew, mechanical fitters, welders, riggers, chemical cleaners and industrial scaffolders to name a few.

Charlie Guthrie, Marketing Manager at Survivex, said: “People use the start of the year as a time to reflect on things they want to change for the better and we want to help those looking for a new career or different job. 2020 is set to be an exciting year for the global energy sector and there are lots of potential opportunities around. Many of our oil and gas clients are starting to get really busy as the sector gears up for some major projects such as the Forties Pipeline shutdown later in the year.

“Hopefully our event will inspire people and give them an insight into what it’s like working in the energy industry, as well as helping put employers and potential candidates together. We urge anyone interested in the event to sign up quickly as we anticipate high demand.”
