Judging begins to decide #PicturePerfectWorkplace winners

Stunning North Sea sunsets, heavy industrial landscapes and the majestic beauty of wind turbines are just some of the amazing images sent in to our photography competition to win free training.

We’ve received more than 300 competition entries to find the energy industry’s most #PicturePerfectWorkplace. But the deadline for images has now closed and we’ve begun the difficult task of deciding the winners.

With three fabulous prizes of free training now up for grabs, we’ve split the competition entries into three categories: oil & gas, renewables and maritime / other.

After shortlisting the top ten images from each category, we’ll decide the winners based on the following:

  • Maritime / others images will be judged by Jim Inglis, who curates the history collection for Aberdeen Council’s galleries at the Maritime Museum
  • Images showcasing the oil and gas sector will be decided by our social media followers, who will be asked to vote for their favourite. In the event of a draw, curator Jim Inglis will decide the final winner.
  • The winning renewables image will be decided by staff at AIS Survivex. Again, Jim Inglis will decide the final winner in the event of a tie.

Winners will be notified week commencing 3rd October and we’ll announce their names on social media shortly after that.

These three lucky people will be able to choose ANY training course or package free-of-charge. With more than 450 industry-approved courses in our portfolio, they’ll be spoilt for choice.

Linzi Ryan, Head of Marketing at AIS Survivex, said:

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to our #PicturePerfectWorkplace competition. There are some absolutely jaw-dropping entries and we’ve got a really difficult job of whittling these down to thirty of the best images – ten for each category.

“We’re honoured to have experienced curator, Jim Inglis from the Galleries team at Aberdeen Council on board to help us with this task. We’re also throwing open the voting to some of the people who know the energy industry best – our delegates and staff!

“We can’t wait to share these amazing images on our social media channels and our website. Look out for them and make sure you have your say to give your favourite the best chance of winning.”
