Chris Air is working as a wind technician after transferring his car mechanic skills. He secured his first job in wind just weeks after completing a GWO wind training package with AIS Training.
He said: “Being a car mechanic definitely gave me a great head start for the wind industry as many of my technical skills were easily transferable. The global wind industry is seeing unprecedented growth and green energy is definitely the future. I’m really enjoying working in the sector and am so pleased I made the decision to change careers.
